Samsung Announces Galaxy S
Samsung confirms its ambition to become the leader segment of smartphones with the announcement of a range of devices based on enriched Bada, Windows Mobile and Android. Next terminal announced in the Google OS: the Galaxy S scheduled for early summer.
After the Galaxy and the Galaxy Spica, Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy S Android 2.1. This smartphone integrates the new screen Super AMOLED which offers brightness and contrast ratio so far unmatched on a smartphone to a reduced energy consumption compared to a conventional TFT screen.
Screen 4”Galaxy S. WVGA 800 x 480 pixel display technology incorporates mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) – used in the ranges of Samsung televisions and is powered by a Samsung processor clocked at 1GHz. His speed would be associated with 3D graphics and video performance unmatched to date by the South Korean manufacturer.
The smartphone allows the capture, sharing and playback of high definition video (1280×720 pixels). It supports many codecs including DivX and Xvid. It also loads a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 0.3 megapixel sensor in the front for video calls, a memory of 8 GB or 16, a slot for memory cards microSD / microSDHC 32GB, functions music recognition, recording and radio RDS. The onboard GPS receiver allows full use of Google Maps applications, such as My Location, Google Street View Lattitude or to move or easily get a detailed itinerary.
The Samsung S Galaxy should be available in early July at an undisclosed price.
